Note: y Tuesday Feb. 11, 2014 at his home. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 15, 2014 at Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home with Bro. Robert Dodson officiating. Burial will follow at Highland cemetery in Deport. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday 7-8 p.m. Ronnie was born June 2, 1948 in Deport, TX to Grady Marcellus and Buena Belle Whitney Pettit. Ronnie was a Dallas Police officer for 32 years before retiring in May 2000. Survivors include his wife, Elleen Pettit of Pattonville; sons, John Grady Pettit and wife Sheri of Burleson, Michael Brian Pettit of Burleson; step-father Bobby Marshall of Pattonville; brothers John Keith Pettit and wife Gini of Bluff Dale, Ronny Marshall and wife DiAnne of Crandall, Bobby Don Marshall and wife Pege of The Colony, Mark Marshall and wife Susan of Lewisville; grandchildren Whitney Shaw and husband Brad and Colin Pettit; great granddaughter Shaelynne Shaw and many other loving family members.
