Note: t 2 p.m. at Kilpatrick's Rose-Neath Coushatta Chapel with the Rev. Basil Page officiating. Mr. Posey, 64, of Coushatta ws born Feb. 11, 1949, in Lake Charles and passed away Monday, Dec. 16 in Bossier Parish. Mr. Posey was the owner of Strata-Log Mud Logging. He was a loving father who showered his family with unconditional love. He was a lifelong resident of Coushatta, who as a young man spent his days working in his father's movie theater in town. After graduation, he started a career in the oilfield and eventually worked his way up to owning his own mud logging company. He was a collector of many things and a master of many trades. He had many hobbies including flying, riding horses, motorcycles and was also an expert marksman. He enjoyed a simple country lifestyle, where most days he could be found sitting on the front porch with a cold cup of coffee and many times joined by good friends and family. There was never a dull conversation and always a warm, kind, welcoming smile to be found. Those whose lives were touched by him could not help but love him. Preceding him in death were parents, Jack and Joyce Pullig Posey; sister, Elaine Womack; brother, Steve Posey and infant brother, Howard Posey; and lifelong friend, Mavis Coleman. Left to cherish his memory are his son, Clyde Bairfield and wife Kay; daughters, Kelly Posey Cantrell and husband Rhett, Shannon Posey, Angela Coleman and Hannah Posey; his companion, Glenda Morris and her son Shad Morris; grandchildren, Kyle Bairfield, Hayley Shoebridge, Stephanie Engel, Mikayla Posey, Jordan Demery, Danny Morris and Victoria Morris; brothers, Jackie Posey and wife Joan and Randy Posey; numerous nieces and nephews; and lifelong friends, Sarah Posey and Jewell Halamicek. Honorary pallbearers were Jackie Posey, Randy Posey, J. C.
