Bro. Ralph Posey, 66, of Nashville, died Thursday, December 4, 2008.
He was born on Dec. 11, 1941 near Arkadelphia, the son of Ralph Douglas Posey and Billie Jean Meador Posey. On Oct. 21, 1960, he was married to Gwendolyn Williams. He was the minister at the First Christian Church in Nashville and a member of the Pike Masonic Lodge in Murfreesboro. He is survived by his wife, Gwen Posey of Nashville; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Randy and Beverly Posey, Bill and Viki Posey and Mark Posey all of Murfreesboro; two daughters and one son-in-law, Becky Posey of Nashville and Debbie and Marty Reynolds of Glenwood; five grandchildren, Will Posey, Taylor Posey, Lindsey Posey, Emily Posey and Jarod Posey; his brother, Richard Posey of Glenwood; his sister, Pam Brule of El Dorado; and several nieces and nephews. Services were Monday, Dec. 8, in the First Christian Church in Nashville with Bro. Max Goins officiating.
Interment was in Springhill Cemetery under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Glenwood.
