ELGIN ? Funeral services for Arnold Burkham, 61, of Fletcher, will be Wednesday, September 28, 2005 at 2:00 PM in the First Baptist Church, Elgin, with Adraine Smith of Sterling and Larry Ortega of Okla. City, officiating.Mr. Burkham died Saturday, September 24, 2005 in a local hospital.Burial will be in the Elgin Cemetery under direction of Hodge Funeral Home of Elgin and Fletcher. Arnold was born October 22, 1943 in Apache, OK and was raised in that area. They had moved to Las Cruces, NM in 1956, then to Elgin in 1963 and had lived in this area since. He was a Plumber/Contractor working this area for many years. He married Janell Stallings, October 15, 1984 in Elgin. Survivors include; his wife, Janell of the home, 2 daughters; Stefanie Burkham of Lawton and Christina Burkham of Comanche, a son; Kevin "Duffer" of Walters, a special pet; "Champagne" a sister; Lovetta (Burkham) Pelzer of Okla. City, and special friends; Doug and Jennifer Mansel and Caitlyn and Chris and Julie Alverson and Makaila. He was preceded in death by his parents; Matthew Burkham and Ruth (DeWitt) Burkham and a daughter; Stacy Burkham.
