From an unnamed and undated obituary: 'Ernest K. (Sam) House, 78, 819-13th NE, died Friday, Sep. 15, at St. Joseph's Hospital. Services will be held Monday, Sep. 18, at 2 p.m. in Gene Roden's Sons Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 p.m to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Mr. House was born Dec. 27, 1910, in Rosser, a son of George W. and Sarah Ann Partin House. Surviving are his wife, the former Norma Ruth Kindle; a sister, Bertha Nixon of Hurst; and one brother, D.L. House of Paris.'
