 STONEWALL, LA - Services for T/Sgt Jimmie Dale Meyer USAF Retired, 81, will be held Salem Baptist Church at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 18, 2006. Reverend Stan McGee will preside, and Dr. W.D. "Step" Martin will assist. Interment will follow at Stonewall Cemetery will full military honors. The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 17, 2006 at 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Rose-Neath's Southside Funeral Home. He was retired from the United States Air Force, and Ashland Oil Company. He was involved in community projects, such as, the restoration of the court in Mansfield, LA. Jimmie was born October 1, 1925 in Shreveport, LA to Artis Meyer and Eva Blundell. Jimmie is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Nancy; sons, Larry Dale Meyer, and wife, Renee, and Clyde Meyer, and wife Barbara; daughter, Darlene Meyer; grandchildren, Clay Meyer, Christi Ganey, and husband, Rick, Karen Allen, and husband, Mark, Shannon Phillips and Larry Meyer, and wife, Nicole; and twelve great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Pat Loftus, Glenn Settle, Mike Smoak, George Pugh, Charles Watson, and Curtis Mccune. Honorary pallbearers will be the Good News Sunday School Class members. Memorials may be made to the Salem Baptist Church building fund. Rose-Neath Funeral Homes
