Note: Clyde Revis Lowrey August 28, 1922 - June 15, 2018 Share this obituary Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Share on Google+ Share in Email Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card U.S. VeteranMr. Clyde Revis Lowrey, age 95 of Quitman, went to his home in heaven on Friday, June 15, 2018 following a lengthy period of declining health. Mr. Lowrey was a gentle man who loved his family and enjoyed having time to spend with them. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during WWII and was awarded a purple heart for injuries received in a battle with the enemy in the China Sea. He was hard-working man who loved farming, camping and riding his horses. Friends may call on the family 6:00pm ~ 9:00pm at Edmonds Funeral Home in Jonesboro. Funeral services will be held 10:00am in the Edmonds Chapel with Reverend Geary Phillips officiating. Interment will follow at Antioch Cumberland Cemetery, near Quitman, under the direction of Edmonds Funeral Home. Mr. Lowrey is survived by his sons, Jimmie Keith Lowrey & Gwen, Jerry Lowrey & Mecca, Rickey Lane Lowrey & Kathey, Clyde R. Lowrey, Jr. & Ve-Ester; 8 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; sister, Ginger Swann; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Mr. Lowrey was preceded in death by his wife, Syble (Horton) Lowrey; parents, C.D. & Jewel (Neal) Lowrey; brothers, C.D. Lowrey, Eugene Lowrey; sisters, Marie Morris, Sunshine Lowrey. Serving as pallbearers are Terry Horton, Shawn Ryles, Bradley Keifer, Todd Lowrey, Scott Lowrey, Jonathan Davis. Honorary pallbearers will be Conner Davis and Seth Ryles.
