Note: Syble Hortence Lowrey October 03, 1926 - June 05, 2016
Mrs. Syble Hortence Lowrey went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 5, 2016. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Her greatest joy was taking care of her family. She loved cooking and was very active in her church. She was a member of Highway Chapel Church of God. Left to cherish her memory; her husband of 71 years, Clyde Revis Lowrey; sons, Jimmie Lowrey and wife Gwen, Jerry Lowrey and wife Mecca, Rickey Lowrey and wife Kathy, Clyde Lowrey and wife Bea; grandchildren, Rachel Lowrey, Brendon Lowrey and wife Kerri, Dawn Lowrey Meydam, Diane Lowrey, Brandy Davis and husband Jonathan, Rebecca Rowell and husband Shawn, Chelsea Lowrey, Charles Lowrey, Charea Lowrey; thirteen great-grandchildren. Mrs. Lowrey was preceded in death by her parents, Curtis and Dezzie (Wilkerson) Horton; brothers, Delmond Lee Horton, Truman Virgil Horton, James Roy Horton; sisters, Ruby Horton Anderson, Lois Horton Strain, Audrey Horton Jimmerson. Friends may visit with the family 5-8PM Tuesday at Southern Funeral Home in Jonesboro. Funeral service will be held 10:00AM Wednesday, June 8, 2016 in the Southern Chapel with Rev. Geary Phillips officiating. Burial will be in Antioch Cumberland Cemetery, Quitman.
