Anderson, age 80, of Quitman, were held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, November 7 in the Highway Chapel Church of God near Quitman. Rev. Adriel Alexander and Rev. F.C. Thompson conducted the services. Burial was in the Fellowship Cemetery under the direction of Southern Funeral Home of Jonesboro. Mr. Anderson died Wednesday morning in the Jackson Parish Hospital after a lengthy illness. He was a native of Jackson Parish and a World War I veteran. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Emily P. Anderson of Quitman; two daughters, Mrs. Lemma Mae Horton and Mrs. D.L. Horton, both of Quitman; One son, Daniel Anderson of Many; two sisters, Mrs. Lizzie Coleman of Quitman and Mrs. James Neal of Jonesboro; Three brothers, A.Z. Anderson, Willie Anderson and Sam Anderson, all of Hodge; seven grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren also survive. Pallbearers were Hilton Mercer, Clyde Lowrey, Truman Horton, Travis Harper, Ira Anderson and Ricky Lowrey.
