a. Note:   6, 2011. She was born to John Anderson and Mary Emma (Hobrecht) Strickland on April 20, 1932 in San Antonio, Texas.
 She married Kenyon Eugene Clonts on November 22, 1950 in San Antonio. She spent her early working years as a loving homemaker raising three sons. Later she became a real estate agent in the River Oaks area of Houston. She was the consummate hostess and had a comforting personality. She was truly interested in people and their lives, and had a profound effect on everyone who met her. While in Houston, she belonged to Houston First Methodist Church and moved her membership to Highland Lakes United Methodist Church when she moved to Kingsland. She loved to water ski, snow ski, and volunteered at the Kingsland Library and at the church. Most of all she was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.
 Mrs. Clonts is survived by her husband of 60 years, Kenyon Eugene Clonts of Kingsland, sons Kenyon Eugene Clonts II and wife Melanie of Austin, John Curtis Clonts of Temple, Texas, and David Randall Clonts and wife Melissa Evans Clonts of Houston, eleven grandchildren, brothers Robert Louis Strickland of San Antonio, Texas, and James Michael Strickland of Tampa, Florida, sister Jerry Ann Strickland of Houston, close family friend Irene Cureti of Kingsland, and numerous nieces and nephews.
 A visitation will be held 6:30 p.m.-8:00 p.m. Wednesday July 20, 2011 at Putnam Funeral
