 Marie Barbara Klima Brown,98,of Lake Jackson died December 26,2009,at Plantation Health Care Center.Mrs.Brown was born December 7,1911,in Winfield,Queens,New York City to Frank and Mary(Zraly)Klima,Frank immigrated to New York from Moravia at the age of 10 in 1892 with his parents and siblings.Mary Klima was born in New York to Bohemian immigrants.Marie graduated as Valedictorian of her high school class in 1925.Marie met her husband,John Henry (Johnny)Brown Jr.of Leesville,Louisana,in 1940.They were married at the Little Church Around the Corner in New York on January 6,1941.The couple honeymooned in Washington,D.C.,visiting Johnny`s family in Leesville and set up housekeeping in Freeport,where John worked as a chemist for the Freeport Sulfer Company,transferring to Dow Chemical in 1942.Survivors:son,Robert Allan Brown and wife,Jane;grandson,John Daniel Brown and wife,Jennifer;granddaughter,Sarah Elizabeth Brown Brandon and husband,Michael;three great-granddaughters.Preceded in death by herhusband,John;parents;sister,Ella (Praus)Garsch;brother,Frank Klima.Service will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday,December 30,2009 at Lakewood Funeral Chapel.  Frank Joseph Klima — 11/2 MOSS BLUFF — Frank Joseph Klima, 95, died Saturday, Nov. 1, 2003, in a local hospital. He was a native of New York City and had recently moved to Moss Bluff from Clearwater, Fla. He had been a member of Light of Christ Church in Clearwater. Survivors include his wife, Marie Frances Oktavec Klima of Moss Bluff; one son, Frank Martin Klima and wife Mary of Long Island, N.Y.; one daughter, Barbara Ann Van Weele and husband Allen of Moss Bluff; one sister, Marie Brown of Lake Jackson, Texas; six grandchildren, Frank John Klima, James Joseph Klima, Donna Marie Van Weele Trache, Caroline Jane Van Weele, Allen Peter Van Weele Jr. and Jonathan Adam Van Weele; and five great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. today, Nov. 2, in Hixson Funeral Home of Moss Bluff. The body was cremated. Visitation is from 1 p.m. today.
