a. Note:   ly 20, 2011. She was surrounded by her children, who were all singing hymns and quoting scriptures. She was born on September 13, 1910. She had been an active member of First Baptist Church, Greenwood, LA. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, July 22 at Rose-Neath Southside, 2500 Southside Drive. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home chapel on Saturday, July 23, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. Officiating will be her sons. Interment will follow at Forest Park Cemetery on St. Vincent. Mrs. McGee was preceded in death by her husband, T.J. McGee; her parents, John and Nancy Norrid; brothers, William and Wiley Norrid; and sisters, Delia Kennington and Iola Henderson. She is survived by her son, Prentis McGee (Millie); daughter, Joyce McGee Allen (Jerry); son, Jerome "Jay" McGee (Jo Ann); and son, Troy McGee (Nancy). She is also survived by her sisters, Cloteel Murphy, Adele McMichael and the family caregiver, Onetha Jones, as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Serving as pallbearers will be her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
