A reception for Mrs. Adele McMichael, age 93, will be held Tuesday, August 28, 2012 at 10:00 AM in the chapel of Rose Neath Funeral Home in Coushatta, LA with graveside services and internment at 11:00 AM at Holley Springs Cemetery, in Martin, LA. Rev. Bill Hines will officiate. Mrs. McMichael was a graduate of Northwestern State University of Natchitoches, LA. Adele retired from teaching after providing instruction in every elementary grade as she served the Red River, Webster, and Bienville parishes. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Coushatta. Adele was born February 5, 1919 and died August 24, 2012. She was preceded in death by her parents, John W. Norrid and Nancy Huckabay Norrid, by two husbands, Merce L. Snead and John L. McMichael; by two brothers, William J. and Wiley F. Norrid and sisters, Lola Henderson, Delia Kennington, Marie McGee, and Chloteal Murphy. Adele is survived by her sister, Onetha Jones of Shreveport, LA. Her sons are Gary N. Snead of Houston, TX and Wayne and Terri Snead of Austin, Texas. Her grandchildren include: Madison E. and Jonathan D. Snead of Austin, TX., Bradley W. Snead and his wife, Lauren Snead of Houston, TX, and Michael G. and Brandi Snead of Kyle, TX, with great grandchildren, Gavin Michael and Patti Grace Snead of Kyle, TX.
