Joy Ruth Ward, 73 of Vernon, Texas died Monday, July 30, 2012, in Wichita Falls. Funeral services at 11 a.m. Friday at Calvary Baptist Church with the Rev. Toby Castleberry officiating. Burial will be in Eastview Cemetery under the direction of Sullivan Funeral Home. Mrs. Ward had been a waitress at Betty's Restaurant. Survivors include son, David Ward of Abilene; daughter, Christine Ferguson of Vernon; two stepdaughters, Debbie Oglesby and Fran Perry; two grandchildren, three step-grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
