He came from a large family raised in Oklahoma. He had a daughter Nancy by his first wife. Then he married Mae Smith and had 3 more children, Kathy, Devon, & Donnie. He traveled from Texas to Oregon following the crops. Was a "Jack-of-all Trades". He was a very talented musican, playing the piano, guitar,& mandolin. He loved to sing and play at church with Mae & Tammy{his grandaughter}.
