a. Note:   Notes for BERYL T. KENNINGTON: Killed in a tornado that destroyed their home in 1924. Beryl was trapped underneath the chimney & Josh lifted it off his father while Floyd went for help. Johnny was found under the floor of the porch where he'd been blown. Tornado came April 29, 1924 and Uncle Beryl was taken to Shreveport, La. where he died on May 3. Aunt Fannie, Josh, Floyd & Johnny moved in with James Franklin & Lizzie and remained there until a four-room bungalow was built for them. (Same house that Minden Giddings used to live in). While all were in same household everyone but James Franklin & Delia had the measles. Information provided by Hazel Norrid Fletcher, August, 1992. (from Sheila Johnson's notes)
