ALICE VIRGINIA "VIRGIE" WOODARD, 95, of Coushatta were held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 15, 1994, at Social Springs Baptist Church with the REV. BILLY SMITHART officiating. Burial was in Social Springs Cemetery. MRS. WOODARD passed away Sept. 13, 1994 at L. S. Huckabay Memorial Hospital in Coushatta. She was born Nov. 20, 1898 in Red River Parish. She was a homemaker, and a member of the Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, J. A. WOODARD and three oldest children, two grandsons, and one great grandson. Survivors include one son, KENNETH GRAY WOODARD of Coushatta; one daughter, OPAL RAE LOFTIN of Coushatta; 13 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Pallbearers were ROBERT STEVENSON, JAMES LOUIS STEVENSON, JERRY WOODARD, LARRY WOODARD, RONNIE WOODARD, STEPHEN WOODARD, CHARLES E. LOFTIN, JR., ALBERT C. LOFTIN, SR. Services were under the direction of the Rocket-Nettles Funeral Home in Coushatta.
