Mr. Deward R. Rieson, age 78 of Winnfield, died Friday, February 5, 2010 at the Winn Parish Medical Center in Winnfield following a brief illness. Friends may visit with the family 1:00 PM til 5:00 Sunday, February 7, 2010 at Southern Funeral Home in Jonesboro. Memorial services will be held 10:00 Monday, February 8, 2010 in the chapel of Southern Funeral Home of Jonesboro with Reverend Doyle McGrew officiating. Interment will be at Fellowship Cemetery near Quitman. Mr. Rieson is survived by son, Paul Rieson and wife Dedra of Jonesboro; grandchildren, David Hennigan and wife Kris of Winnfield, Abigail Rieson of Jonesboro; brother, Clifton Rieson of Dodson; sisters, Colleen Ponder and husband Lamar of Hodge, Nell McDaniel and husband Bill of Jonesboro; 4 great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Mr. Rieson was preceded in death by parents, Burley A Rieson and Dora Elizabeth (Neal) Rieson; wife, Versie L. (Horton) Rieson; brothers, Edward Rieson, Clyde Rieson, Billy Joe Rieson; sisters, Eva Taylor, Lavania Womack, Julie Mae Coleman. Pallbearers will be Brandon Goss, Danny Ponder, Jr, Tommy Rieson, Mike Shively, David Hennigan, Cagney Rieson.
