SHREVEPORT, LA - Funeral services for Virginia Stringer, 83, will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 7, 2009 at Broadacres Baptist Church. Reverend Kendall Holley will officiate. Interment will be at 2:00 p.m. at Woodard Cemetery in Taylor, LA. Visitation will be 1 hour before service time at the church.
Mrs. Stringer was born June 15, 1925 in Gibsland, LA to Robert and Lillan Cates. She passed away January 5, 2009 in Shreveport, LA. She was a Chief Operator for South Central Bell and a member of Broadacres Baptist Church.
Her husband James C. Stringer; parents, Robert E. Cates and Annie Miller Cates precede her in death. Numerous loving nieces and nephews survive her.
