Note: D Edgar Barfield Vidalia - Mr. D Edgar Barfield, 80, died Saturday, January 4, 2003 at his residence following an extended illness. He was a native of Montgomery County and lived most of his life in the area. He was a retired barber, a U. S. Army veteran of World War II, and was a member of the First Assembly of God Church of Vidalia. Survivors: his wife, Epsie Lee Chaddrick Barfield of Vidalia; three daughters, Janice and Peggy Collins, both of Collins, and Karen Helmy of Vidalia; one son, Jimmy Barfield of Las Vegas, NV; two sisters, Irpeel Blaxton of Vidalia and Joyce DeVitt of Augusta; three brothers, G. W. Barfield of Palatka, FL, Dr. Amos Barfield of Lake Park, GA, and Bennie Barfield of Douglasville, GA; six grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Visitation: 6:00-9:00 p. m. Tuesday, Jan 7 at the funeral home. Funeral Services: 2:00 p. m., Wednesday, January 8 in the Chapel of Murchison Funeral Home with Reverend David Knight officiating.
