Geneva was born in Mexia, Texas, on August 29, 1932, the daughter of the late Jeff and Annie Irene (Huey) Albertson.
She is survived by son, Johnny Mac Spivey and wife Connie of Burkburnett, Texas; son, James Lee Spivey and wife Ruth of Breckenridge, Texas; daughters, Judy Ann Latham and Julie Mae Williams of Wichita Falls, Texas; son, Doyle Smith and wife Debbie of Weatherford, Texas; daughter, Gail Smith of Locust Grove, Virginia; son, Ken Smith of Roanoke, Texas; brother, Tommy David Albertson and wife Carolyn of San Angelo, Texas; sister, Cleo Scearce of Houston, Missouri; and brother, Charles Albertson and wife Patsy of Jal, New Mexico; 14 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ferd Griswold Smith, Jr.; and sister, Ruby Gillmore.
Viewing will be held on Wednesday, January 6, 2010, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Koenig & Strickland Knesek Chapel in Fayetteville, Texas.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 7, 2010, at 10 a.m. at Knesek Chapel in Fayetteville with Deacon Mike Meismer officiating. Burial will follow in Haw Creek Cemetery in Shelby,Texas.
In lieu of flowers family has requested donations be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.
