John L.Spivey's Rites Are Scheduled Today Services are scheduled at 1 p.m. today, Oct.28,for John L.Spivey, 62, a Kermit resident who died in Memorial Hospital at 4:45 a.m.Tuesday. Rites will be conducted in the Cooper Funeral Chapel with Rev. J.O.Camp officiating. Burial will be in Kermit Cemetery under direction of Cooper Funeral Chapel. Spivey was born Dec.16,1919 in Randlett,Okla., and was a retired driller. He had lived in Kermit for 16 years, moving here from Olney. He was a veteran of World War II and a member of the Baptist Church. Survivors include two sons, Johnny Mac Spivey of Kermit and James Lee Spivey of Breckenridge; two daughters, Judy Ann Lathan of Houston and Julie Mae Williams of Hobbs; a brother, James Nolan Spivey of Kermit; two sisters, Dee Evans of Hobbs and Dorothy Thorsen of Chickasha,Okla., and 10 grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Bill Payne,Rufus Pilkington, Jesse Griffis, Tom Cockran, Tommy Stardemar and Charles Spivey.
