Note: David Wayne Burkham Graveside services for David Burkham, age 54, formerly of Hopkins County are scheduled at Connor Cemetery for Friday, March 4, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. B.J. Teer officiating with Michael Slay, Roque Villarreal, Arik Wolf, and Benito Mata serving as pallbearers.
Visitation will be held Friday, March 4, 2011 from 1200 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Tapp Funeral Home.
Mr. Burkham passed away Sunday, February 27, 2011 in Tyler. David Burkham was born, September 10, 1956, in Dallas, Texas, the son of L.D. and Shirley Templan Burkahm. He married Mary Elizabeth Slay in Dallas on February 9, 1992. She preceded him in death on December 8, 2010. He was in the construction business.
Survivors include: son, Michael Slay and wife, Amy, of The Colony; daughter, Ida Mae Villarreal and husband, Roque, of Winnsboro; grandchildren, Arik Wolf, Frankie Villarreal, Kaitlyn Slay, Olivia Villarreal; father, L.D. Burkham, of Sulphur Springs; sisters, Debra Burkham, of Whitesboro, Bonnie Fleeman, of Venus, Texas; brother, Jackie Burkham, of Como.
He was preceded in death by: mother, Shirley Burkham; step-mother, Phyllis Burkham; grandson, Hunter Wolf.
Arrangements are under the direction of Tapp Funeral Home.
