Note: Joe Jake Toon (April 11, 1941 - October 2, 2009) Joe Jake Toon, 68, of Quinlan passed away October 2, 2009 in Rowlett.He was born in Cooper, TX on April 11, 1941 to Roy (Babe) and Lorene Toon. Joe graduated Dallas High School in Dallas, TX. He started with an internship with Sun Oil Company in Corpus Christi and then went full time and worked until he retired with the same company in 1991. Joe attended St. John the Apostle Catholic Church in Terrell, TX. Joe leaves behind several family members in Longview and cousins in Arlington, and many friends in Texas. Family and friends request that Contributions be made to your favorite charity or to the American Cancer Society, or to an Animal Shelter. A graveside service will be held on October 8, 2009 at 10 AM at Oak Lawn Cemetery in Cooper, TX. The cemetery is located on FM Road 1529, 2.3 miles East of Highway 24. Visitation will be from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
