 George Raymond Hinsley Jr. April 30, 2007 George Raymond Hinsley, Jr. was born on April 22, 1941 in Paris, Texas and grew up in Wichita Falls, Texas. George left this life reluctantly on April 26, 2007, because he had many more things he wanted to do, but knowing he is in a better, peaceful place. George was a self-made man and entrepreneur successful in building several businesses. He started out in life insurance sales eventually founding Hinsley Investment Interests. He and his wife, Pat enjoyed spending time at their ranch in South Texas, they loved to ride horses, hunt and entertain their friends. He was a member of the Tejas Vaqueros for 35 years and did not miss a ride. George was a longtime volunteer of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo and served as a Life-Time Vice-President. He was also a Master Mason of Morton Mason Lodge No. 72 in Richmond, Texas. George loved his family and friends. His devotion to his family was more than can be expressed in words. George enjoyed and embraced life. To him, each day was a new adventure. George was preceded in death by his parents, George Raymond Hinsley Sr. and Mary Ethel Ward Hinsley of Wichita Falls; sister, Patricia Ann Hinsley Newsom; and brother, Richard Wiley Hinsley. George is survived by his forever adoring and loving wife of 49 years on May 24, 2007, Patricia Jackson Hinsley; daughter, Cecilia Jo Hinsley and her children, JoAnna Diane Pazderny, Charles Leonard "Trey" Pazderny III, Robyn Hinsley Pazderny; son, George Raymond "Ray" Hinsley III and fiancee Arlene DeClaire their children, George Raymond "G.R." Hinsley IV, Brycen Cathlene Hinsley, Alexander Gerald DeClaire, and Griffin Thomas DeClaire; daughter, Kimberly Renee Hinsley Newlin, her husband Michael Ross Newlin and their children, Michael Ross Newlin II and Renee Bernice Newlin; son, David Scott Hinsley, his wife Julie King Hinsley and their daughter Lea Elizabeth Hinsley; sister, Mary Hinsley Rawle; and brother-in-law, Charles Lynn Rawle; and many loving aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Private services will be held at Calvary Episcopal Church in Richmond, Texas. The family invites friends to celebrate his life at a Remembrance which will be held on Monday, April 30, 2007, at five o'clock in the afternoon until eight o'clock in the evening in the Library of Geo. H. Lewis & Sons, 1010 Bering, in Houston. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Scholarship Fund, P.O. Box 20070, Houston, Texas 77225-0070.
