Note: Daniel Ponder, 52 Services for Daniel Lamar Ponder, 52, of Quitman were held July 3 at the North Hodge Assembly of God with the Revs. Gene Cumpton and Elton Gunter officiating. Burial followed at the Springhill Cemetery.Mr. Ponder died July 1 at Jackson Parish Hospital after a brief illness.
He was a carpenter.
He is survived by his mother and father Lamar and Colleen Ponder of Hodge; son Danny Ponder, Jr. of Jonesboro; daughter Shannon Ponder of Hodge; sister Janice Murphy and husband Mike of Quitman; brothers Benny Ponder and wife Margie of Stonewall and David Ponder and wife Susan of Clovis, Calif.; and several nieces, nephews and other friends and relatives.
Services were under the direction of Southern Funeral Home of Jonesboro.
