Funeral services for Belvin D. White, 76, of Jonesboro were held Jan. 26 at the Southern Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jerry Dark Jr. officiating. Burial followed at Sardis Cemetery.
Mr. White died Jan. 23 at Lincoln General Hospital in Ruston after a long illness.
He was a heavy equipment operator and served in World War II. Mr. White was preceded in death by a son, Roger White.
He is survived by wife Opal White of Jonesboro; son Ronnie Wayne White and wife Linda of Jonesboro; son David White of Powhatan; daughter Brenda Martinnez of Jonesboro; brother Lavell White of Jonesboro; sisters Edna Barton and Amma Deese, both of Winnfield; nine grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
Services were under the direction of Southern Funeral Home.
