 BOSSIER CITY, LA - Services for Wiley A. Smith will be 3:30 p.m. Saturday, April 17, 2010 at Rose-Neath's Bossier Chapel with Masonic rites. Officiating will be Rev. Tom Dungan. Interment will follow at Holly Springs Cemetery, Martin, LA with military honors. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Friday, April 16, 2010 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Bossier City, LA. Mr. Smith was born November 13, 1918 in Coushatta, LA to Benjamin and Ethel Kennington Smith and died April 14, 2010 in Bossier City, LA. During WWII he was in the Army Air Corps and was an ex-POW, having participated in the Batan Death March. He was a member Morningside Methodist Church, the Martin McClanahan Masonic Lodge and started the ex-POW chapter in Bossier City. A retired E-9 from the U.S. Air Force, he also retired from Ralston Purina as a maintenance clerk. His wife of 69 years, Tommie Smith preceded him in death. He is survived by his daughters, Linda Duggan and husband Sam of Benton, LA, Diana Holley and husband James of Shreveport, LA; grandchildren, Cindy Gagnon, Reed Duggan, Jamie Holley, Samantha Duggan; four great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
