Note: Obituary for Gary Scott Brakefield Gary Scott "Brake" Brakefield, 33, formerly of Paris, passed away suddenly at his home in Denton on Sunday, Feb 22, 2009. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, Feb 26, 2009 in the Starrett Funeral Home Chapel. Graveside rites will follow in the Lone Star Cemetery, Lone Star, TX.
The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Brake was born Feb 24, 1975 in Paris, a son of Jeanna Ward Brakefield Ervin and John Scott Brakefield.
Brake was preceded in death by his beloved grandmother, Thelma Davison Ward of Paris, TX.
He is survived by his mother and step-father Sammy Ervin; father and step-mother Debe Brakefield; his wife Cherie Thomas Brakefield; son Beau Scott Brakefield; daughter Kalei Kim Brakefield; brother Jay Hollis Brakefield; sister Cassie Brakefield Mullens; brother-in-law Mitchell Mullens; nephews Cole, Kyle and Collin Mullens; and many more loving relatives and friends.
