KIRBY ALTON STONE, JR., also known as K.A., died Jan. 31, 2009, at North Arkansas Regional Medical Center.
K.A. was born in Palestine, Texas, on Sept. 14, 1943. He was the only son of Kirby Alton Stone and Lena Othella Durham Stone. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Barbara; and his wife, Pam.
He is survived by his children, Troy Stone and Kala Stone Rogers, both of Oklahoma; two grandchildren, Megan and T.J.; three sisters, Dorthy R. Grigg and Patsy J. Murphy, both of Harrison, and Sandra Jan Siminoe of California; five nieces and one nephew.
K.A. attended Rangley College in Rangley, Colo. He worked in the oil field servicing business for many years and the past 16 years was an employee of Tyson Foods in Berryville. He enjoyed watching football and fishing with friends, Linda and Tom Vale of Kingston.
