 Private graveside services for Floyd Kennington, 76, of Sulphur Springs were held Monday, Jan. 15, at 2 p.m. at Holly Springs Cemetery in Red River Parish, La., with Pastor Walter C. Malone officiating.
 Serving as pallbearers were Will Kennington, Todd Robertson, Mark Berley, Basil Kennington, Kyle Kennington and Buzz Brandt. Honorary pallbearers were Tim Taylor, G.W. Gibbons, Walter Grice, Jerry Vititow, Scott Sarine, Joe Simmons, Caleb Robertson and Ben Berley.
 Mr. Kennington died Friday, Jan. 12, at Trinity Mother Frances Hospital in Tyler. He was born in Coushatta, La., on Jan. 27, 1930, the son of Henry Floyd Kennington Sr. and Grace Smith Kennington.
 He married Jewell Ocon on Dec. 18, 1976. She survives.
 Mr. Kennington served in the United States Marine Corps. He retired from Buster Paving Highway Construction as a sales manager after 13 years of service. He was also a member of Masonic Lodge #221, where he was a faithful member more than 50 years. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Sulphur Springs and a member of the Adult 3 Sunday School Class.
 Other survivors include three sons, Will Kennington of Sulphur Springs and Jerry and Paul Kennington, both of Shreveport, La.; two daughters, Robin Robertson of Tyler and Tracy Berley of Camden, Ark.; one brother, Basil Kennington of Coushatta, La.; two sisters, Catherine Giddings and Louise Brandt, both of Shreveport, La.; and nine grandchildren.
 He was preceded in death by his parents, and an infant brother, Shelby Kennington.
