 In the name of God amen. I Jacob Sheets of the county of Rowan inthe state of North Carolina being very sick and weak but of perfectmind and memory do this Second day of May in the year of our Lord onethousand Eight Hundred and Eighteen, make and publish this my lastwill and testament in the manner and form as follows first after allmy just Debts are satisfied I leave and bequeath to my Beloved WifeMary her maintance during her Lifetime out of my Estate. Secondly Ileave and Bequeath to my son David Twenty five dollars to be raisedout of my Estate. Thirdly I leave and Bequeath to my daughter PollyChesher twenty five dollars to be raised out of my Estate. Also Ileave to my daughter Nancy, Two Hundred & fifty dollars to be Raisedout of my estate and my will and testament is after the Decease of myBeloved wife for all my Lands Negroes and Moveable Property to be soldby my Executor and the Money Collected and Equally Divided between myThree youngest Children Marguaret Jacob and Nancy. Also I make andordain Mack Crumb (Mark Crump) and William Potts sole Executor of thismy Last Will and Testament in witness whereof I the said Jacob Sheetshave hereto set my hand and seal.

 David Call being sworn doth say that JacobSheets, late of Rowan County in the territory now in Davie CountySheets aforesaid is dead. that he left a last will and testament whichwas duly admitted to probate in the Court of Pleas & Quarter Sessionof Rowan County and that Mark Crumb (Mack Crump) & William Potts whowere named as Executors therein and who qualified as such are bothdead. I think they had not completed the official duties developedupon them as Executors of said Will before their deaths. An affidavitis included. I believe David Call is the husband of one of theparties interested in said estate to wit, Elizabeth Call. Further thevalue of said Estate, so far as can be ascertained at the date oftheir application is about Six Thousand Dollars, and that JacobSheets, Jr. of Tennessee is entitled as a divisee and Minerva wife ofColeman Foster, Elizabeth wife of David Call, Nancy Call, Nathan Callare entitled as Heirs of the divisee, Margaret Call, formerly MargaretSheets.
