Notes
a. Note:   Albert was a Confederate soldier. He was also a Methodist minister in the Point Cedar area. The 1951 Harrison narrative indicates the Rev. A. D. Hawkins Bible passed to a grandson, Charles Henry Harrison of Anson, TX the son of Rev. William Taylor Harrison. The 1860 census for Cedar, Clark Co., Arkansas, does not list Isaac Newton Harrison who would have been about 11 and Charles W. Harrison who would have been about 2. Charles is subsequently listed in the U.S. Federal Census Mortality Schedule Index. The 1860 Census also shows Mary Delilah Burton Harrison's parents household living next door. According to Johnnye Mae Richardson Taber research, as a young man, Albert Harrison rode into the Mexican Cessation of the state of Texas with Zachary Taylor--an unauthorized military action by President Polk, according to history. Albert Harrison served in the Civil War, and toward the ending of the war, he had to go back and forth between the Union and the Confederate Armies in order to survive. The family scraped the smokehouse for salt, and in the Reconstruction period, they left Mississippi to go to Arkansas. On the Tishamingo-Tecumsheh Trail (in the proximity of DeWitt, Arkansas) Sarah Jane Pernecia Harrison met and married Greenberry Whitfield Richardson.
