Note: Maria Elizabeth Sheets was born 5-9-1811 Augusta County, Virginia and died 9-1891 of old age in Augusta County, Virginia. As happened in many families of this period, the eldest daughter never marries. She was the daughter who stayed home with her parents and as they grew old, she became their caregiver. Mary lived with her parents until their death and then she lived with her brother, William Sheets.
