  His second wife was Mary Elizabeth Riddle Sheets who was born 1828 Virginia. John and Mary were married 11-27-1873 at Mt Sidney, Augusta County Virginia by G.W. Hollar. She was the daughter of Joe Riddle and Ruth Gilmore and the widow of Franklin Sheets (416).
