From Ancestral File (TM), data as of 2 January 1996.Buried in Lutheran cemetery. __________ In the Name of God Amen, yea, I Jacob Sheets of Toms Creek hundred Frederick County and State of Maryland being week and frail of Body but of perfect and sound mind and memory do this _____ day of _____ in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and Six make and publish this Instrument of writing as and for my last will and Testament in manner and form following that is to say after payment of my Just Debts and funeral charges I give grant and Devise my worldly Estate as follows First I Give grant and bequeath to my beloved Wife Eve more Sheets the Sum of Ten pounds Yearly and every for ten Years after my Decease/upon the first day of May/ but in case she Should not Survive or live this ten years after my Decease then Onely to be paid the ten pounds per year/ also all the property of what kind soever she brought which was her own before our marriage which sum of money afforementioned to her shall be her whole Dower out of my real and personal Estate which Agreement was made mutualy by us previous to our Marriage -- Item Secondly I Give grant and Devise to my son John Sheets the Quantity of one hundred thirty Acres of Land Situate part on the south East side of Monocacy Creek and part on the North west side of said Creek together with my merchant mill and all the appertainces there unto belonging Except the Dwelling house I now live in together with the barn and stables and privilidg of all the Cleared Land on the North West side of Monocacy Creek I reserve for my own benefit and Behofs during my natural life Also privilidgs of firewood and one third of the yearly Income of the Afforementioned Mills during my natural life, for which property of one hundred and thirty acres afforementioned my son John Sheets hath consentably agreed to pay the sum of Twenty five hundred pounds Pena Cury this Sum to be paid in manner following; to pay whatever he can during my natural life and from that time to pay one hundred and fifty pounds Annualy upon the first day of May until the whole is paid and said John Sheets is to have the whole of the land that is Situated on the South East side of Monocacy Creek Subject to him with the Issues (?) and Profits thereof Solley from first of April 1806 -- Also to have the Mills one Dwelling house and Stables and Garden under his tilling Direction and management and to have two thirds of the yearly Income during said Jacob Sheets natural life and from that time forth the whole of the above Described land and premisses to be the sole property of said John Sheets his heirs and assigns forever; Bons to be given for the annual payments by John Sheets to the Executor of said Jacob Sheets Estate and the patent to Granted of said land when the bonds are Given Item Thirdly I Give grant and Bequeath to my son George Sheets the Quantity of one hundred and thirty Acres of Land situated on the North West side of Monocacy Creek on which land he now lives with all the appertenances thereto belonging to be holdin of him his heirs and assigns forever Subject to his payment of two Hundred and fifty pounds the Sum of Twenty five pounds to be paid Yearly until the whole is paid which payment is to be made upon the first day of May Yearly ensuing the present Date hereof Item Fourthly I give grant and bequeath to my son Christen Sheets the full Sum Four Hundred pounds Pennsylvania Currency to be paid unto him to two payments the first payment on the first day of May after my Decease and last payment on the first day of May year following In lieu and barr of his Share of my Estate Item 5 Fifthly I give grant and bequeath to my Eldest Daughter Mary Shriver Enter married to Lewis Shriver the full Sum of three hundred pounds Cury of Pa that three years after my Decease the Sum of thirty pounds be paid her yearly upon the first day of May untill the whole is paid Item 6 Sixthly I give grant and bequeath to my Daughter Katrena Hill Entermarried to Joseph Hill the full sum of three hundred pounds Cury of Pa that three years after my Decease the sum of thirty pounds be paid her yearly upon the first day of May untill the whole is paid Item 7 Seventhly I give grant and bequeath to my Daughter Barbara Trout Entermarried to Michael Trout to sum of Three Hundred pounds Cury of Pa that three years after my Decease the sum of Thirty pounds be paid her yearly upon the first day of May untill the whole is paid Item 8 Eightthly I Give grant and Bequeath to my Daughter Susanna Buyer Entermarried to Jacob Buyer the Sum of three hundred pounds Curry of Pa that three years after my Decease the Sum of thirty pounds be paid her Yearly upon the first day of May untill the Whole is paid Item 9 Ninthly I give Grant and Bequeath to my Daughter Ann Need Entermarried to Henry Need the Sum of Three hundred pounds: That three years after my decease the sum of Thirty pounds be paid yearly upon the first day of May untill the whole is paid Item Tenthly I will & Devise that my personal Estate be sold by Public Sale as Soon as may be convenient after my Decease and that the remainder of my Reale Estate be Equely Devided amongst my ten Children Item and Lastly I do nominate and Appoint my son Jacob Sheets my true and Lawfull Executor of this my last will and Testament in Trust to Execute the Same Agreeable to the true intent and meaning thereof I Vest him with full power to make a Clear pattern of my lands. In Testimony of this my will Hereby revoking all Other wills legacies and bequests by me heretofore made and Declaring this and no other to be my last will and Testament.
