Witnesses for the marri age were Sarah Gerhart, Jacob Leymeister, and Daniel Lerch. The record noted that the coupl e were BOTH from Halifax Twp., and that Michael Bowerman was the s/o the late Johannes Bowerm an (Bauerman). According to the book: "Legacy of Life", by M. J. Dininni, page 271, On Feb. 2 0, 1841 Michael and his wife Mary C. (Shietz/Sheetz) Bowerman donated 1/2 acre of ground as a n "additional" burial ground next to St. Paul's Lutheran and Reformed Church, located in Ente rline, PA. The book also noted that Michael was baptised at Fetterhoff's in Armstrong Valley , Halifax Twp., on March 20, 1805.
