  Peter's birth and baptism dates are extracted from the records found at Fetterhoff's Evangelical Lutheran and German Reformed Church located in Halifax Twp., Dauphin county. The parents were also the sponsors. He is again listed as a child living in the household of his mother, Catharine (Enterline) Sheetz, now family "head", in the 1850 US PA census. In the 1910 US PA census records he continues to reside in Halifax Twp., is married to Mary A., and notes his age at 65, which matches his birth year. This particular census also noted that Peter and his wife Mary were married 44 years, that they had 13 children, but that only 9 had survived by 1910. Peter listed his occupation as "general farmer" in this census.
