  Elmer Sheets, aged 81 years, a life long resident of this neighborhood, died Sunday morning at 11:30 o'clock at his home near Lexington. Mr. Sheets was born at Green Village, Columbiana county, in 1826. When a small boy he moved with his father to Lexington township where he has remained ever since. While not professing any Christian faith, he lived a very upright life. An interesting fact in connection with (h)is life was that he helped cut most of the timber from the site on which this city stands.
  He is survived by three children, J. T. Sheets, Mrs. G. W. Shaffer, and W. G. Sheeets.
  The funeral services will be held Tuesday at two o'clock.
