They had lived in places such as&lt/p&gt&lt/p&gt&ltp&gt&ltp&gtOwen Sound and Tilbury, Ont. before settling at 961 Lincoln Rd. in&lt/p&gt&lt/p&gt&ltp&gt&ltp&gtWalkerville, Ont. She had worked as a nanny and later was employed&lt/p&gt&lt/p&gt&ltp&gt&ltp&gtby Parke Davis & Co. in Walkerville. As stated in the notes for her&lt/p&gt&lt/p&gt&ltp&gt&ltp&gthusband, George, she was active in the Scottish organization, the&lt/p&gt&lt/p&gt&ltp&gt&ltp&gtDaughters of Scotia, where she had served as Chief Daughter. She also&lt/p&gt&lt/p&gt&ltp&gt&ltp&gtserved as the musical accompanist at the piano during many of the&lt/p&gt&lt/p&gt&ltp&gt&ltp&gtsocial events of The Daughters of Scotia. Violet was a member of White&lt/p&gt&lt/p&gt&ltp&gt&ltp&gtHeather Lodge. She was employed as a cafeteria worker by the Linden&lt/p&gt&lt/p&gt&ltp&gt&ltp&gtPublic School System for 20 years, retiring in 1968.&lt/p&gt&lt/p&gt&ltp&gtRIN: MH:N9&lt/p&gt
