Note: emorial Home,Clark,N.J.</p></p><p><p></p></p><p><p>Violet is interred at Rosedale Cemetary in The Garden of The Last Supper.</p></p><p><p>Violet, born in Scotland, imigrated with her family to Canada via</p></p><p><p>the entry port of Quebec in 1924. They had lived in places such as</p></p><p><p>Owen Sound and Tilbury, Ont. before settling at 961 Lincoln Rd. in</p></p><p><p>Walkerville, Ont. She had worked as a nanny and later was employed</p></p><p><p>by Parke Davis & Co. in Walkerville. As stated in the notes for her</p></p><p><p>husband, George, she was active in the Scottish organization, the</p></p><p><p>Daughters of Scotia, where she had served as Chief Daughter. She also</p></p><p><p>served as the musical accompanist at the piano during many of the</p></p><p><p>social events of The Daughters of Scotia. Violet was a member of White</p></p><p><p>Heather Lodge. She was employed as a cafeteria worker by the Linden</p></p><p><p>Public School System for 20 years, retiring in 1968.</p></p><p>RIN: MH:N9</p>
