  SOOS James Soos, 65, of North Tonawanda Sunday (October 28, 1984) at DeGraff Memorial Hospital. A lifelong resident of the Tonawandas, he was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, a retired employee of The Wurlitzer Co. and the A. E. Gombert Lumber Co. A World War II veteran, he served with the Third Army, 6th Armored Div.
  Mr. Soos is survived by his wife, Myra (nee Zappendorf) Soos; one son, Alan James (Joan) Soos, both of North Tonawanda; two brothers, Alex (Ann) Soos of North Tonawanda and Nick (Jean) Soos of Baltimore, Md.; three sisters, Mrs. Allen (Ann) Rathwell of Batavia, Mrs. Hilda Kennedy and Mrs. Marion Kell, both of North Tonawanda; two grandchildren, Robin and Kristiane Soos, North Tonawanda, several nieces and nephews.
  Friends may call Monday 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., at the Wattengel Funeral Home, Inc., 307 Oliver St., North Tonawanda where services will be held Wednesday at 1:30 p.m., the Rev. Richard E. Pape officiating. Interment Acacia Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the St. Paul Lutheran School Computer Fund.
