  My Father served in the Army Air Corps/Infantry (Not sure which one it was. still searching) during WW2. I was told that everytime He made SGT, he would get into a fight and get busted back down to CPL. Thats my Dad for you. His Military files was one of the many that was destroyed in the fire in St. Louis, Missouri, USA Personal Records section. I was able to get him his "Record Of Service" by using the documents I found on ancestry
