Note: son Hospital in New Orleans, LA. Gwen was born in Bogalusa, LA May 12, 1938 to the late Albert Thomas and Helen Mitchell Thomas Galloway. She lived in Gilmer and Lewis counties for 23 years. She is survived by two daughters, Rita Furr and Donnis Furr, both of Bogalusa, LA, and son Russell Furr of Weston; two granddaughters April Furr Gettings and Kimberly Furr Smith of Jane Lew; four grandsons, Seth, Clayton, Aaron and Whitley, all of Bogalusa, LA. Gwen had three great-granddaughters, Sierra, Miranda, and Kiley Gettings of Jane Lew. Gwen enjoyed being with her family, gospel music, going to church, and sewing. She was preceded in death by her parents and her stepfather Levi Galloway. A grave service was held for Gwen on September 1 at the Ponds Cemetery in Bogalusa, LA with Russell Furr officiating.
