a. Note:   ct. 14, 2006 in Sanders Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park. Arrangements are under the direction of Sanders Funeral Home. He died on Sept. 29, 2006. Johnny was born May 13, 1946 in Cleveland, OH. He graduated from Lubbock High School and attended Texas Tech University. During his working career he was involved in auto sales for forty years. He owned and operated Discount Autos and Furr Auto. He was a member of the Baptist Church. His mother, Emily Furr, preceded him in death in 1987. Survivors include his father, Ray Furr, Sr.; two sons, Mark Furr and John Furr, Jr.; two daughters, Mary and Debbi Furr; two brothers, Raymond "Shorty" Furr, Jr. and Charles "Tadpole" Furr. His children meant the world to him.
