  She was a member of St. Mark's United Methodist Church. She was a retired schoolteacher from Parkersburg South High School with 18 years' service, and had 35 years' service teaching at West Virginia schools.
  Surviving: husband, Summers Furr; sisters, Maxine Groff, Barbara Shaffer and Beatrice Weaver, all of Charleston, W.Va., Frances Fitzwater of Glenville, W.Va.; two grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
  Graveside service will be 2 p.m. on July 26 at Otterbein Cemetery, Glenville. The body has been cremated. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice. Leavitt Funeral Home, Belpre, is in charge of arrangements.
