a. Note:   t 1:30 p.m. Monday, May 14, 2007, at his residence following a three-month illness. He was born Dec. 22, 1930, at Burnsville, Braxton County, a son of the late Joseph A. and Jessie Haymond Dean. Ronnie was owner and operator of Dean’s Wrecker Service and Central Service Station of Burnsville. He was a Corporal in the U.S. Marines, a devoted husband, father and brother who loved gardening, his work and helping others. He was a Protestant by faith. On Dec. 4, 1959, he was married to Jeanette Furr Dean, who survives at their Burnsville home. Survivors include one daughter, Kimberly Dean-Marsh and husband, Maynard, of Burnsville; three sisters, Roydetta Cutright and husband, Pertand, of Atlanta, Ga., Charlotte Forrest and husband, Thomas, of Kure Beach, N.C., and Jeanne Wiant and husband, Harry, of State College, Pa.; one sister-in-law, Evelyn Dean of Mill Creek, W.Va.; two nieces, Detta Cutright and Charlene Thomas; several other nieces and nephews; and very special friends, Terry and Marge Crislip of Burnsville. Ronnie was preceded in death by one brother, Gerald L. Dean. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Friday at the Ellyson Mortuary Inc., Glenville, with the Rev. Ronzel Roberts officiating. Burial will follow in the Haymond Cemetery at Burnsville. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Thursday at the mortuary. The family requests that memorial donations be made to Hospice Care, Route 1 Box 43C, Burnsville, WV 26335, or Burnsville Volunteer Fire Department, P.O. Box 252, Burnsville, WV 26335. Ellyson Mortuary Inc., Glenville, is assisting the family of Ronald “Ronnie” Dean with arrangements.
