a. Note:   ark Medical Center Emergency Room, on October 10, 2016. Herb was born August 11, 1955 in Weston, W.Va. the son of the late Herbert R. and Helene V. Alexander Furr. He was Co-Owner and Operator of the Sly Fox. He was a member of the Brick Layers Union, was a well respected mechanic and loved animals, NASCAR and the Sly Fox. Herb is survived by his fiancee, Bobbi Starkey; one son, Herb Furr; three grandsons, Justin Anderson, Machia and Corey Meredith; five sisters, Diane (Kim) McMichael, Becky (Art) Buchanan, Sheryl (Michael) Murray, Terri Furr (Jimbo Moore) and Christina (Micah) Epps; several nieces and nephews; and his beloved dogs, Haus and Sadie; and many good friends. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by one daughter, Rashell Marie Meredith. Friends and Family are invited to attend the Memorial Service on Saturday, October 15, 2016 at 1 p.m. at Kimes Funeral Home, 521-5th St., Parkersburg. Friends may call one hour before the service. Following services a Celebration of Herb’s life will be held at the Sly Fox starting at 3 p.m. Memorial Donations may be made to the Humane Society of Parkersburg or bring a pet item to donate to the Humane Society to the funeral home or the Sly Fox.
