She was a graduate of Calhoun County High School, Marietta Beauty College and Charleston Beauty Academy. She was a beautician and retired from V.I.P. Hair Salon, Grantsville. She attended Parkview United Methodist Church and was a member of Knotts Memorial United Methodist Church, Grantsville. Surviving are one son, Nicholas Furr of Virginia; one grandson, Chris Furr and wife Kelly of Little Hocking, Ohio; one great-grandson, Levi Furr; and one brother, William Starkey of Grantsville. Memorial services were held at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, Parkersburg, with Pastor Larry Crawford officiating. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
