a. Note:   . 4, 1938 in Glenville, W.Va., son of the late Aaron and Vinnie (Henderson) Furr. Living in Laurel since the late 1950s, he worked as a pump station operator for the Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission for 37 years. He coached baseball for the Laurel Boys and Girls Club. He is survived by his wife of 13 years, Margaret Furr; sons Brian Furr of Towson and Joe Furr of Las Vegas, Nev.; step-sons Dave Richardson of Marriottsville and Rick Miller of Germantown; step-daughter Shari Richardson of Owings; brother Jerry Furr of Weston, W.Va.; and eight grandchildren. Visitation was Aug. 11 from 7 to 9 p.m. at Donaldson Funeral Home, 313 Talbott Ave. Services were Aug. 12 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home chapel, with the Rev. Warren Litchfield officiating. Burial was at Ivy Hill Cemetery.
