a. Note:   emorial Hospital in Parkersburg. He was born in Glenville, WV September 3, 1927 a son of the late Norfe and Mary V. Westfall Furr. He was a self employed Mason Contractor retired 1989, Member of United Commercial Travelers, former member of The Home Builders Association, past president of the Young Republicans Club, and was Baptist by faith. He avidly enjoyed Hunting and camping. Survivors include; wife of 57 years Mary Jane Furr of Vienna, two sons Mark S. Furr of High Point, NC and Jerry D. Furr of Vienna, sister Mildred Jack of Vienna, granddaughter Stephanie Deem of Parkersburg, two grandsons Chase and John Furr both of High Point, NC, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by; daughter Beverly Furr, brother Herbert Furr, sister Marlene Boggs, and infant sister Marjorie Furr. There will be no services; visitation will be Tuesday 2-4 PM at the Leavitt Funeral Home in Parkersburg. Donations may be made in his name to The Camden Clark Foundation to Oncology P.O. Box 1077 Parkersburg, WV 26102-1077. Arrangements entrusted to The Leavitt Funeral Home.
